P.Lankesh’s ‘Nanna Tangigondu Gandu Kodi’ is a powerful play centred around a political family. Jagganath, the son of a minister, is disillusioned with his father’s corrupt practices. His anger and stubborn refusal to follow in his father’s path forces the family into a series of issues.
His sister, morally upright, but extremely practical leads the way forward. She calls off her wedding and decides to care for her aged mother.
Lankesh’s acerbic wit and incisive dialogues provide food for thought. The play holds relevance to the corrupt times we live in.
The play stars Sagar Jayaram, Pavitra Acharya, C.V.Pavan, Shruthi Shashi, Sharan Kumar, Niranjan Prasad and is directed by Rakesh Kumar.
