About

Based on traditional 'Tamasha-pat', Okk Hay Ekdam! is a satirical play that gives a glimpse into the lives of Tamasha artists living through the pandemic. Chandra - owner of a Tamasha artists' collective is struggling to feed her fellow 89 artists. Without any means of earning money, one day she decides to visit the King of her state and coaxes him to see just how artists like her barely manage to make ends meet due to the lockdown he had announced. Written from the perspectives of the Tamasha Artists,  Okk Hay Ekdam!  takes audiences on an interactive journey from two years ago as the world collectively became more familiar with the word 'online'. This project was supported by Kshirsagar Apte Foundation and Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2023.
