Since eternity, any father-son relationship has had a multitude of variations along the course of time. As a son grows up, new layers of 'spices' get added to it along with the real-trouble maker - 'Male Ego'. When egos of a father and son clash the stakes get high, the battle gets sour and yet humorous for any third person. The father, being the more experienced one, and of course, carrying the honorable tag of being the "father", always has the upper hand. Whatever he says becomes the norm-of-the-house, and if anybody is found violating it, especially his son, he then opens the gates for his raging 'speaking skills' session. Then the son is not spared and is 'officially labeled' by the father as someone who is undeserving and incapable of doing anything.
Ullu Aur Uska Pattha is a hilarious representation of this father-son duel, where a retired father makes his son as the scapegoat for all the wrongdoings and ill-treatments in 'his' house. And the son, on the other hand, like all the sons in the world, has to bear those sharp allegations and ruthless words of his father because ultimately he is the son.
