- Asian fathers are not the best communicators.
And relationships between Indian parents and their kids are sometimes funny, sometimes painful, sometimes poignant, but always complex.
In this original, devised play, that complexity is exactly what the director/stand-up comedian, Sharul Channa, aims to portray. Fresh out of two critically acclaimed original performances for Disco Sheela and Other Indian Superwomen (“..superb performance..” , The Straits Times) and Crazy Poor Sita (“..a timely character drama about the underclass of Singapore..”, Bakchormeeboy.com), Sharul Channa dedicates this very special creation to her own father.
Through a series of sketches, monologues and movement pieces, an ensemble cast of 8 people, featuring stand-up comedian, Rishi Budhrani.
