Synopsis: What did the brink of Indian independence feel like? Was it as straightforward as the textbooks lead us to believe? Des is a satirical comedy in which a young couple in Delhi discover their own love and differences, while India finds its footing on the eve of 15th August, 1947. In this Sanhita Rangmanch Award-winning play, the very real hopes of ordinary citizens on the brink of freedom spiral into chaos and hilarity.
