The director Ashok Pandey has reimagined the classic play 'Sakharam Binder', originally written by Vijay Tendulkar, to a more relevant contemporary Mumbai. This play strikes a deep resonance with the audience as they search the characters within themselves and are forced to confront the ugly truths of society.
Sakharam following his twisted version of truth morality brings home women on a contractual basis so both partners can enter and end the relationship on their own will. He brings home multiple women including Laxmi and Champa, whom he madly lusts after.
Life gets back at Sakharam with Champa and the other characters forced out from his life by Laxmi who has her own ambitions with Sakharam and goes to ugly lengths to drive out others.
