Drama | Hindustani | Age 8+

Solo Performances of Hindustani Short Stories.

Theatre at its Simplest & Purest!

Does beauty lie in the eyes of the beholder? To what extent will you push the boundaries of a frenemy? Unwrap these questions through powerful performances of two timeless Hindustani short stories - ‘Chechak Ke Daag’ written by Rajinder Singh Bedi & ‘Marhoom Ki Yaad Mein’ by Patras Bokhari.

Rajinder Singh Bedi (1 September 1915 – 11 November 1984) wrote of lives that were commonplace but hidden in their very ordinariness, the human spirit shone through in all its lustre and brilliance. His gift for finding the inner meaning in outer reality, took Bedi into the realms of suggestion, symbolism, metaphor & allusion.

Patras Bokhari (1 October 1898 – 5 December 1958) ranks among the most outstanding writers of humour in Urdu. He graduated from Cambridge University, served as the principal of GC University, was chosen as Director General of All India Radio and was appointed as the first Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations.
