The play Talki - Truth Dream Via Bengaluru was developed as an extension of Truth Dream project.

Talki is the cultural dish of transwoman community. As an extension of the Truth Dream Project, Talki play has been developed under the direction of Mr. Sreejith Sundaram. The exceptional thing about this play is that all the actors are transwomen who are over 55 years of age. This is unprecedented in Indian Theatre history.

The play is yet another platform where the dreams of these transwomen come true. But the powerful aspect is that every time the play is performed, their dreams come true again and again. Because of Mr. Sreejith Sundaram’s previous work with the trans-community, he has found a space to bring in multiple unique layers into the play. Because the play features transwomen who are over 55 years of age, the play has a unique space where the vibrant culture of transwomen, their customs, hierarchies and so on is brought alive on contemporary theatre stage.

These cultural aspects also include their fascinating language and a well-formed linguistic code which has not been documented in any kind of literary arts.
