With 2006 Surat floods as backdrop, Gujarati play "Tapee Taro Tarkhat" revolves around seven people who get stuck in their own house. The play throws light on deep and complex nature of human relationships, and how these emotions changes at the time of crisis & adversity when life is at stake. This play also reminds us how disconnected we are in this "so called" connected world. "Caring is sharing", "Respecting elders", "Companionship" are some of the virtues we know very well but don't know how to put into daily practice. This play will also take the audience back to devastating memories of Surat floods and reminds the fact that how helpless mankind become when natural disaster strikes. No matter how many big buildings, houses, machines and weapons mankind will build, he will never be able to challenge mother nature. Written by Shakti Dodiya and Directed by Mihir Pujara, this play is a perfect blend of comedy, romance, and tragedy. The play ends with a beautiful message about what really matters in life.
