‘The Proposal’ is a romantic comedy-drama written by Russian author Anton Chekhov. A young man Lomov comes to propose his neighbor Natalya (Daughter of Chubukov), but instead of proposing they keep fighting over various topics. The drama is about the tendency of rich families to form relationships with other rich families to expand their wealth by encouraging financially sensible marriages.
And the Fun Infinity team has tried to present this Russian drama as an ‘Indian version’, which is very much in sync with today’s times.
