What will she do? Now, she has two options - accept the accusation and quit writing altogether or try to clear her name and prove the accusations wrong.
Trokon Ka Chautha Kon ? is one such journey of a writer. Rajnandini Purohit is accused of plagiarism but she is not the one to take it lying down. To clear her name she sets out to meet the author who has allegedly written the story before her. Her search brings her to the dream city of Mumbai where she meets Marathi writer Avishkar Joshi. At first, Joshi tries to explain her that it could be just a simple coincidence that one of their stories had a similar plot. But he too is surprised when informed that there is another author who has written a similar story before Joshi did. Now things were turning really weird for Joshi too. He is further informed that the story was previously written by Shikhar Tyagi who writes in English. His story however was not published and he has disappeared after he had written this story.
Rajnandini and Avishkar set out in search of Shikhar. It is now very important for them to solve this mystery not only to safeguard their professions but also to untangle themselves from this seemingly vicious spiders web. After a long search, Rajnandini and Avishkar reach Sikkim in Gangtok where they find Shikhar. They try to explain their predicament to Shikhar and all three discuss debate and fight over the situation.
Amidst this chaos the audience will witness the stories the three characters are fighting for.
Story 1 A young girl comes everyday to the riverbank waiting for her husband to return. There she makes small statues of Lord Buddha but her wait never ends.
Story 2 A sailor who left his newly wedded wife to save the flood inflicted villager and never returned back to his wife
Story 3 A postman who is in love with a girl sitting by the river bank and who desires to end her wait.
How did the three writers write similar stories? Are they the characters they are writing about? Is this story an unknown and mysterious fourth angle of their triangular story?
This play has love, drama, comedy, tragedy and suspense, enough to buckle the audience to their seats and when they leave they will wonder if their own life has an unknown and mysterious fourth vertical.
