Trikon Ka Chautha Kon ? is one such journey of a writer. Rajnandini Purohit is accused of plagiarism but she is not the one to take it lying down. To clear her name she sets out to meet the author who has allegedly written the story before her. Her search brings her to the dream city of Mumbai where she meets Marathi writer Avishkar Joshi. At first, Joshi tries to explain to her that it could be just a simple coincidence that one of their stories had a similar plot. But he too is surprised when informed that there is another author who has written a similar story before Joshi did. Now things were turning really weird for Joshi too. He is further informed that the story was previously written by Shikhar Tyagi who writes in English. His story, however, was not published and he had disappeared after he had written this story.
Rajnandini and Avishkar set out in search of Shikhar. It is now very important for them to solve this mystery not only to safeguard their professions but also to untangle themselves from this seemingly vicious spiders web. After a long search, Rajnandini and Avishkar reach Sikkim in Gangtok where they find Shikhar. They try to explain their predicament to Shikhar and all three discuss, debate and fight over the situation.
