Ajat Ghar', or 'A house sans caste', speaks of an ongoing riot, but it finds it's fascination in the story of two men, stuck with their isolation and burgeoning distrust, trapped in a claustrophobic world sans God or the Devil, where Death seems to be the sole taskmaster consummating it's task in inventive ways. They lie in hiding, waiting for the violence to subside, in crippling suspicion of each other, anguished by their past and present, all while scheming in discrete fashion to gain leverage over the other, leaving the viewer with the uneasy sensation of imminent dread. They curse the machine that brought forth the upheaval, but are prepared to be a part of it in their tussle for survival.

Written by Rameshwar Prem Ji, this play puts in stark focus the disharmony intrinsic in humans, while leaving us to lament over the causation and the consequence.
