How exactly does ‘Alternate Seating’ work? Are tickets sold basis ‘Alternate Seating’ only?
Cinemas will follow a chequered board layout as per the guidelines. Only alternate seats will be
available for booking to a user.
If I want to postpone my booking to another show due to personal reasons, can I do that?
Currently, this option is not available due to the rules imposed by the cinema. You can cancel your
booking at qualifying cinemas but ‘Cinema Cancellation Terms & Conditions’ will apply.
What kind of food & beverages will be available at the concession stand? Will there be an option of seat
Only packed food & beverages will be available for sale at concession counters. As per the government
guidelines, there will be no delivery to the seat.
How exactly will social distancing be carried out in cinema halls and the areas around it?
Cinemas will follow government guidelines towards implementing social distancing norms in the cinema
premises from entry points to exit points.
If I've forgotten to wear my mask, will there be masks available on sale or for free at the venue for usage?
Customers are expected to wear masks throughout their time at the cinema. Some cinemas may offer
disposable masks free of cost or at an additional charge. Customers will need to check with their local cinemas for
If I miss my movie due to certain reasons, can I watch the next show with my ticket? Or will I get a refund?
Currently, this option is not available due to the rules imposed by the cinema. You can cancel

What is the maximum number of people I can bring with me to the movie?
There are no regulations on the number of people booking or entering the cinema together.
In case very few people turn up and the show is cancelled, will I be refunded?
If the show gets cancelled from the cinema's end, the refund will be processed. Reach out to

If I want to sit with my friends and not adhere to ‘Alternate Seating’, how do I go about it?
As per the government guidelines, only alternate seating is permitted.
Will hand sanitisers be available across the venue?
Yes, cinemas will provide hand sanitisers. Cinemas will follow government guidelines
towards placing the hand sanitisers across the venue.
Will children & elderly people be allowed to enter the cinema?
There are no restrictions with respect to children and elderly people who want to visit the cinemas.
What will be the F&B procedure during the intermission?
Customers will have to visit the concession stands to buy food and beverages during the interval.
For the convenience of the customer, cinemas will have additional counters open along with longer intervals as
suggested by the government.
Will social distancing be followed for parking?
There are no such guidelines for parking. Contact your respective cinema for more information.
Will social distancing be followed in the washrooms?
Yes, all cinemas are expected to maintain social distancing in washrooms.
Will social distancing be followed at the smoking zones?
Cinemas are non-smoking zones. Smoking on cinema premises is punishable by law.
Will any medical proof be needed while entering the cinema? (COVID19)
No, a customer does not need to carry any medical proof while visiting a cinema.
What happens if a customer reaches the cinema and finds out that the required precautions are not taken care
of as mentioned while booking. Will they get a refund?
Currently, this option is not available for the users. In case of such an occurrence, the same will
be dealt with on a case-by-case basis at the cinema’s discretion. Kindly cooperate with the cinema for the same.
What if a customer contracts the virus after visiting the cinemas?
Cinemas will take all necessary safety measures as per the guidelines and patrons are requested
to follow the same for personal safety and hygiene. This cannot be specific to the venue.
What measures have been taken with regard to the air conditioning within the cinema hall?
All cinemas will follow the guidelines shared by the government:
Temperature setting of all air conditioning devices should be in the range of 24-30°C.
Relative humidity should be in the range of 40-70%.
Would instructions of F&B safety delivery be mentioned anywhere?
Yes, the generic measures will be made available on our website and app.
Who would be the POC if the customer wants to share feedback for social distancing or basic norms not
followed at the venue?
A cinema representative (duty manager or supervisor/team lead) will be available for this purpose.
What is the cap on the maximum number of people attending one show?
As per the current guidelines provided by the Central Government, the maximum number is capped at 50%
of the screen capacity.
Is there a lock to the number of tickets one customer can buy?
No change is expected in the policy here. The same rules are applicable as before.
If the cinemas are operating without air-conditioning, would the ticket cost be impacted?
The ticket price will be decided by the cinemas based on the facilities and the movie.
How will the high-touchpoint areas such as kiosks, serving counters, door handles, and bathroom areas
Cinemas will follow government guidelines with respect to maintaining hygiene and ensure timely
sanitization of common areas and washrooms.
Are hand gloves going to be mandatory?
Hand gloves are not mandatory for a customer to enter the cinema.
Will disposable 3D glasses be provided or will they be sterilised/sanitised and reused?
This will vary depending on the cinemas. A few cinemas are expected to provide disposable 3D glasses.
Other cinemas will provide 3D glasses that have been sanitised/ sterilised before each use. More details will be
available with the respective cinemas.
Would intervals now be for a longer duration considering the new normal?
Cinemas are planning slightly longer intervals to ensure customers get enough time to use washrooms or
purchase F&B while maintaining social distancing.
How soon would you recommend patrons to arrive at the cinema hall since there would be temperature and pulse
There are no such guidelines in place yet. We recommend patrons reach the cinemas at least 15-20 minutes
before the showtime.
Will I be allowed to take food from outside as I do not want to risk buying food from the cinema counter?
Customers will have to check with their respective cinemas for this.
What precautions will be taken at single-screen cinemas?
The precautions will be followed by all types of cinemas. They will have to commit on following
government guidelines for the reopening of the cinema.
Will medical emergency services be available at the cinema/mall?
This may be done on a voluntary basis in some malls but it's not broadly available yet.
Do we need the Arogya Setu app to enter the cinema premises?
While it is not mandatory to have the Arogya Setu app, it is advisable to keep it installed in your
devices. This will help both you and the authorities for efficient and effective contact tracing.
