The Planetarium show simulates night sky with breathtaking clarity on a hemispherical dome covering 360 degrees. The show progress to explore Universe in order to educate and engage the viewers. Constellations, visualization of geocentric to helio-centric views, Fly by through various planets, etc will be shown.

In order to achieve this, world-class projection systems are employed. A total of 6 Zeiss VELVET projectors coupled with the optomechanical projector having 32 plus sub projectors are made to work in harmony. Complementing the visuals is the audio from superior quality 5.1 JBL professional surround sound system.

Show Title: STARS

Abstract of the show:

Starting with an introduction to the night sky, constellations and motion of celestial bodies due to Earth's rotation the show goes on to explore the life cycle of spectacular twinkling wonders called Stars.

STARS focuses on the lives of the stars, how they are born, how they die, and how human understanding of the stars has changed over time. From Native Americans to Newton, from the electromagnetic spectrum to Einstein, audiences will explore nebulae, star clusters, pulsars, black holes, and more. The journey, in the end, highlights the pivotal position of the planet Earth as the only cosmic oasis where complex life has evolved and sustained.

This dramatic program has enthralling visuals with lively music and narration played on 5.1 surround system. The initial part of the show has music rendered by National award-winning music composer Shri. Bapu Padmanabha. Introduction to the show was narrated by versatile anchor Smt. Vasanthi Hariprakash while narration by Shri. Jagadish Raja forms the core part. The Nashville Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Albert-George Schram, performed part of the STARS soundtrack.


  • Age limit: 3+. Children below 3 years are not allowed inside the sky-theater.
  • Visitors booking online tickets should compulsorily be present at the venue at least 15 minutes before the scheduled show. Visitors will not be allowed inside the Sky-Theater once the show begins.
  • Eatables are not allowed inside the sky-theatre.
  • Mobiles are to be switched-off inside sky-theatre as it deteriorates the experience.
  • Parking in Planetarium is at owner`s risk.
  • Children`s ticket age limit includes (3-16 years) subject to valid ID.
  • There is a `no refund` policy for tickets once booked.
  • Note: If online tickets are sold out then about 150 regular tickets will be available at the Planetarium counter half an hour prior to the scheduled event time.
