Running

PLAYERS

  1. All participants must have been born on or before 1 st Sept, 2001. adidas Uprising has the right to cancel any booking made fraudulently or through wrong declaration of age.
  2. The final schedule would be published online on the adidas Uprising Facebook page, and the registered player would be notified through e mail as well. adidas Uprising will not entertain any claim arising from a change in schedule.
  3. Registered Participants are requested to reach the venue on time. adidas Uprising shall entertain no claim on timing on account of late start by the participant.
  4. Baggage Counter – a baggage counter would be provided near the start line. Registered participants are requested to not leave any valuables in their bags thus submitted. adidas Uprising shall entertain no claim arising out of loss of any belongings and the baggage is kept at the counter on the owner’s own liability.
  5. Hydration and Water stations would be provided en route. Organizers are not liable for any claim arising from consumption of water, hydration drink at the station.
  6. Non-registered participants are not allowed in the event holding area under any circumstance.
  7. Registered participants can collect their bibs and t-shirts from a selection of adidas Performance stores in each city. Under no circumstance would a change in the pick-up center be allowed.
  8. adidas shall entertain no claim from the participants in case the desired t-shirt size is out of stock while registration. Participants are requested to select from only the available sizes.
  9. Participants not having collected their bibs would not be allowed to participate in the event and their registration fee would be forfeited.
  10. adidas shall entertain no requests to courier the t-shirts in case of no-show by the participant and their registration fee would be forfeited.
  11. One of the following documents must be carried for age verification and identity verification while collecting the bib – Voter ID, Aadhaar Card or Passport.

Cricket-Leather Ball 7s / 6s

Leather Ball 7s:

PLAYERS

  • Leather Ball 7s : 7 players to play the match. Team squad needs to have a minimum of 7 players and maximum of 10 players. A team shall be awarded a walk-over if the opposition team has less than 7 players during the start of play.
  • Leather Ball 6s : 6 players to play the match. Team squad needs to have a minimum of 6 players and maximum of 9 players. A team shall be awarded a walk-over if the opposition team has less than 6 players during the start of play.

SAFETY

  • A player must not use any equipment or wear anything that is dangerous to himself or another player (including any kind of jewellery) as per the Laws of the Game

EQUIPMENT / ATTIRE

  • All players to be in Cricket whites
  • Teams to carry their own playing kits

REFEREE / MATCH OFFICIAL

  • The decisions of the referee regarding facts connected with play are final and the same cannot be challenged or appealed.
  • Severe actions will be taken against any player found guilty of disrespecting or misbehaving with the referee and/or opposition players.

TOURNAMENT/MATCH FORMAT

Leather Ball 7s:
  • Straight knock-out
  • Red Season Ball
  • Playing squad of 7 players
  • 6 overs a side
Leather Ball 6s:
  • Straight knock-out
  • Red Season Ball
  • Playing squad of 6 players
  • 5 overs a side
  • The tournament shall be played over the weekend

TIE/DRAW

Winner to be decided on the basis of (in order of consideration) – this is applicable to all 3 formats.
  1. Least wickets lost while batting
  2. Team which has hit more 6s
  3. Team which has hit more 4s
  4. If teams are still even after considering the above, the winner will be decided by a coin toss

FOULS & MISCONDUCTS

  • As per the referee’s discretion and subject to the Laws of the Game, fouls may be given.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED

The following documents must be submitted by an individual at the registration desk on the day of the event:
  • Complete player registration form with all the following details:
    1. Name
    2. Phone Number
    3. Email ID
    4. Age
    5. Gender
    6. Govt. approved Photo ID
  • Please note for Corporate team registrations, each member needs to carry an official ID Card/Letter from Company HR on letterhead. Any player might be randomly asked for either of these documents to prove authentic employment with the company of which the team is participating. Failure to provide so might result in disqualification of the entire team from the tournament.
  • Requirements for schools and academies. For Educational Institutions a letter from the Head of Sports/Sports Master/Principal certifying the team to be comprised of students of the said school + identity cards issued by the school. In case of cricket academy, a letter from the Academy certifying the students to be bona-fide members of that academy.
  • Age Verification for students: School Identity Card / Passport / Aadhaar Card or any other photo ID proof shall be required.

OTHER IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

  • Fixtures and timings will be updated on adidasuprising.co.in and adidas Uprising facebook page. Any changes in the fixtures or timings will be communicated well in advance via email
  • Teams should report to the venue at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start of their respective matches. If a team fails to reach the venue during the time of the toss, they forfeit the match.
  • Players are not allowed to transfer from one team to another after the start of the tournament.
  • The final decision of any process or dispute/protest will be taken by the organisers of the adidas Uprising and all participants must respect and adhere to the decision.
  • While precautions have been taken to ensure safety of players, all participants understand and acknowledge that they are playing in Adidas Uprising of their own volition. All players will be required to sign the following disclaimer before taking part in the competition they have chosen.
  • I agree
    • to abide by the Rules of the Event
    • that any decision made by the competition organizers is final with no right of appeal.
    • that I am medically / physically fit to participate in the Event
    • that I am medically insured for the Event through personal insurance
    • I accept that the organizers and all those acting on their behalf disclaim responsibility, financial or otherwise, for:
      1. any loss or damage to personal or other property.
      2. It is the responsibility of competitors and spectators to look after and take care of their possessions.
      3. Injuries sustained during the Event unless there is gross negligence on the organizers side
    • I accept all of the above mentioned conditions.

MULTIPLE VENUES – matches will be played across 2 venues. Please look out for schedule and draws which will be mailed to the captains and will also be available on adidasuprising.co.in closer to your match date.

Basketball

SAFETY

  • Number of players: 3 players on the half-court at a time. Team needs to have a minimum of 3 players and maximum of 5 players. A team shall be awarded as a walk-over if the opposition team has less than 3 players on the half-court at the designated start time
  • Number of Substitutes: A maximum of 2 substitutes are allowed.
  • ROLLING SUBSTITUTIONS - A player once substituted, will be allowed to take further part in the game, by coming on as a substitute himself.
  • To replace a player with a substitute, the following conditions must be observed:
    • The referee must be informed before any proposed substitution is made
    • The substitute only enters the field of play after the player being replaced has left and after receiving a signal from the referee
    • The substitution is completed when a substitute enters the field of play
    • All substitutes are subject to the authority and jurisdiction of the referee, whether called upon to play or not

  • Shorts
  • Socks / Stockings

REFEREE / MATCH OFFICIAL

  • The decisions of the referee regarding facts connected with play, including whether or not a point or a foul is scored and the result of the match, are final and the same cannot be challenged or appealed.
  • Severe actions will be taken against any player found guilty of disrespecting or misbehaving with the referee and/or opposition players

PERIODS OF PLAY

  • Appropriate amount of stoppage time will be provided as per the referee’s discretion.
  • 10 minutes a game. No half-time.
  • League stage – No extra time or free throws will be provided
  • Knockout stage – 3 free throws - no extra-time

PENALTY SHOOTOUT

  • Each team will have 3 free throws, the team to score more points out of the 3 free throws wins the match. IF, at the end of 3 free throws each, both teams have scored the same number of goals, the match will move into Sudden Death.

SUDDEN DEATH

  • Each team has one free throw each. If both teams score or miss their respective free throws, one more free throw each is awarded. This procedure goes on until one team scores and the other misses, as the case may be.

FOULS & MISCOUNDUCTS

  • As per the referee’s discretion and subject to the Laws of the Game, fouls may be given.

POINTS

  • In the League Stage, points will be awarded as follows:
    Win: 3 points
    Draw: 1 point
    Lose: No points
  • If at the end of the league stage, 2 or more teams have same number of points, the relevant team’s head-to-head shall apply, failing which, team with the highest points difference shall progress, failing which the team with the highest number of points scored will be taken into account and failing which the team with the lowest number of points conceded will be considered. Failing all the above, a coin toss shall be conducted.

PENALTY SHOOTOUT

  • Each team will have 3 penalty kicks, the team to score more goals out of the 3 penalties wins the match. IF, at the end of 3 penalties each, both teams have scored the same number of goals, the match will move into Sudden Death.

  • For the purpose of letting the match progress smoothly, the off-side rule shall NOT apply

  • Please wear non-marking shoes. If not, you'll have to play barefoot.

REFEREE / MATCH OFFICIAL

  • The decisions of the referee regarding facts connected with play are final and the same cannot be challenged or appealed.
  • Severe actions will be taken against any player found guilty of disrespecting or misbehaving with the referee and/or opposition players.

TOURNAMENT/MATCH FORMAT

  • Each match will be of one set of race to 15 or 21 points (Depends on the number of final participants)
  • Straight knock-out
  • Subject to time availability, the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals might be longer games – the decision will be taken on the tournament day by the Chief Referee. Chief Referee’s decision on the same will be final.

  • Each match will be a best of 5/7 games with no ad scoring.
  • Subject to time availability, the Quarter Finals, Semi Finals and Finals might be longer games – the decision will be taken on the tournament day by the Chief Referee. Chief Referee’s decision on the same will be final.
  • The exact time to complete a match cannot be determined in advance so delay in matches may happen. A tentative schedule and time has been given which we will try to follow. Referees and Tournament desk cannot be responsible for delay of matches.
  • SPECIAL CATEGORY: IMPORTANT
    • Under 8 will be a special category event played on a Mini Tennis court. There will be no games and only point’s tie break format will be followed. It will be a combined event for girls and Boys.
    • Under 10 Matches will be played on FULL Court like regular matches. We may start with tie break format, and followed by games from Quarter finals onwards. It will be a combined event for girls and Boys

  • Players should report to the venue at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of their respective matches. If a player/team fails to reach the venue during the time of the toss, they forfeit the match.

They will have to enter the under 12 event.
