What should I wear for Cycling?

  • Jersey/T-shirt and shorts (Avoid full/loose pants as they may get stuck in the cycle chains)
  • Cap
  • Sport shoes
  • Sunscreen
  • Goggles

  • Anytime you are on the bike, including before and after the race, you are required to wear a helmet and have it buckled.
  • Any competitor who unbuckles his/her helmet while on the bike, or who mounts his/her bike with an unbuckled helmet will be disqualified.
  • Drafting, or cycling directly behind or alongside another competitor, is strictly prohibited, as it provides an unfair advantage in an individual sport.
  • You must leave at least 3 bike lengths between your front wheel and the rear wheel of the bike in front of you. If you choose to pass another cyclist, you must pass on the left, and you have 15 seconds to get your front wheel past the front wheel of the person you are passing.
  • The person being passed must then fall back 3 bike lengths before trying to re-pass you. This way, two cyclists won't be riding side by side going back and forth for miles.
  • You must ride to the right side of the road so that a passing cyclist can pass on the left. Riding on the left side of your lane is called blocking, and carries a time penalty for the offender.
  • No crossing the center line of the road, even to pass.
  • Wearing headphones/listening to music while riding the cycle is strictly not allowed.
  • While choosing the cycle, the participant should check the condition & fitness of the cycle before commencing the ride.
  • We expect the participants to treat the rental cycle and its equipment with responsibility.
  • All participants must be physically fit to undertake cycling for a reasonable distance (5-10 Kms).
  • You understand and accept that organizer advises the wearing of cycle helmets at all times when riding.
  • Participants must not cycle under the influence of alcohol, strong medication, other drugs or fatigue.
  • Participants are requested to eat a healthy meal not consume alcohol the previous night to avoid dehydration.
  • Cycles are the participant’s responsibility and any damage for whatever reason will be paid for by the participant.
  • Internet handling fee per ticket may be levied. Please check your total amount before payment.
  • Tickets once booked cannot be exchanged or refunded.
