Since its inception, the T20 Premier League has grown exponentially in terms of its value, fame and prominence in the world cricket scenario. Now, T20 Premier League 2017 is in its 10th season and is powered by Vivo Electronics and is all set to show the world, the true stardom of T20 Cricket on Indian soil.

The league comprises of eight teams, and the great cricketing action begins on the 5th of April and ends on the 21st of May. This could also be the final season for the two new franchises, Gujarat Lions and Rising Pune Supergiant , as they come to the end of their 2-year contract. This could also bring back the now scrapped Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals in the next season for some outstanding T20 matches.

Team Delhi Daredevils is led by the fast pacer Zaheer Khan, whereas Gujarat Lions is led by Suresh Raina. Steve Smith has replaced MS Dhoni as the captain of Rising Pune Supergiant whereas David Warner is the skipper of Sunrisers Hyderabad Indian key players, Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir and Rohit Sharma will continue leading their respective teams Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians. Glenn Maxwell will lead the Kings XI Punjab team.

T20 Premier League 2017 will be taking off with the opening match between Defending Champions, Sunrisers Hyderabad, and Royal Challengers Bangalore. The match is scheduled to be held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on April 5, 2017. In addition to this, the T20 final match will also be played in Hyderabad on 21st May 2017. The tournament is spread over 47 days and across 10 venues. The schedule of this upcoming T20 Premier League Tournament has been designed with each team playing 14 matches, 7 at home venues, and 7 away.
