Formed in the year 2014, FC Pune City is a football club that represents the city of Pune in Indian Super League, the premium football league in India. FC Pune City was created with a philosophy to provide stimulus to football in the state of Maharashtra. The motto of the club is "Live to Win". Live to win titles and live to win hearts. FC Pune City is a fan centric club with all our club activities focused around our loyal and passionate supporters.
The club is owned by the Rajesh Wadhawan Group and co-owned by Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan. FC Pune City`s home stadium is Balewadi Sports Complex.
In its short history, the club has been managed by David Platt and Franco Colomba and the current head coach is Antonio Lopez Habas. The club has boasted of global superstars such as David Trezeguet, Adrian Mutu, Kostas Katsouranis, Didier Zokora, Tuncay Sanli, Emanuele Berardi, Eidur Gujohnsen, Steve Simonsen, Nicky Shorey and Bruno Cirillo among others. As a club, our vision is to make FC Pune City a club of international standing that players passionately aspire to be a part of and fans pledge their loyalties to. Our efforts in growing the popularity of the sport across the region have several firsts that includes, the only club in the ISL to have an exclusive official Merchandise store in Pune, state-of-the-art training facility, recently launched the Corporate Super Cup (in association with Infosys –Pune) that brought together the corporate community of Pune for a football tournament, Orange Army – our organic hardcore fan base has been one of our biggest supporters. Above all, FC Pune City is only team in the last ISL which explored 360 degree marketing approach.
