Mumbai witnessed Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani’s spectacular ‘Pro Panja League’, that gives equal importance to men, women and the specially-abled and let’s the forearms of their participants do the talking.
Emulating the mega match format, arm-wrestling, a sport seeped in Indian-ness, saw a tough competition at Radio Club Pier, Colaba on the 14th of February, 2021. Seating parallel to the iconic Taj Mahal Palace and the Gateway of India, this year saw 18 athletes arm wrestle with most being the medalists from the first Pro Panja League ranking tournament 2020.
Besides Parvin Dabas and Preeti Jhangiani, the tournament witnessed newly crowned special guests Miss India World Manasa Varanasi, Miss Grand India Manika Sheokand and Miss India Runner Up Manya Singh, Ashish Shelar and Ranvir Shorey who walked in with son Haroon among other dignitaries and participants of the league. The dance performances by the gravity defying V-Dance Company had people grooving in their seats.
