About the episode
As the fire takes hold in the hospital, patients are evacuated. Connie slips away and there is a fear she may have escaped. Emma is summoned back into work from the party, where shes been enjoying Dougies company. Emma and Connies burgeoning connection means Emma knows exactly where to find Connie. Connie is hugely distressed because her memory has started to return, and with it the realisation that she did drive ANNIE and Nesss daughter POLLY WORTHINGTON-JONES, into the river; the crime for which she was sectioned. Emma manages to talk Connie down from her hiding place by revealing something of her own struggles with motherhood.
