Buster Keaton stars as the engineer who volunteers for the Confederates. However, he is far too important to be sent to the front lines. But his girl thinks that he is a coward. As the war goes on, the train 'The General' gets hi-jacked by Union soldiers. Now it is up to Buster Keaton to chase the train down, retake the engine and warn the Confederacy!

Sensing the danger, the farmer's wife runs away from home and her husband tails her in an attempt to kill her, only for them to realize their true feelings for each other.
The Ring is a story which revolves around two boxers, who are in love with a same girl. However, the girl marries one of them, but as time passes by, she searches for comfort in the other boxer.
A married man is influenced by another woman, who tries to convince him to drown his wife.
