Q. How do I register for the Jio MAMI 20th Mumbai Film Festival with Star?

A. You can register online at www.mumbaifilmfestival.com or on in.bookmyshow.com/mami w.e.f 19th September, 2018, onwards. 


In addition to online registration, on-ground registration at all festival screening venues will open from 23rd and 24th October, 2018 between 09:30 am to 08:00 pm and from 25th October 2018 from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm and will be active for the duration of the festival.

A. The dates for the Jio MAMI 20th Mumbai Film Festival with Star are from 25th October to 1st November 2018.


Q. How do I collect my festival badge?
A. You can collect your festival badge from your selected badge pickup venue. If you are unable to pick up the badge at your pre-selected venue, you can collect the badge from any of the festival screening venues only after showing a valid photo identity card (Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter Identity Card or Driver`s License). The badges will be available for pick up from 09:30  am to 08:00 pm from 23rd and 24th October 2018, and from 25th October 2018 from 08:00 am – 08:00 pm until the end of the festival. The delegates can collect badges, catalogues and bags on 23rd October 2018. Schedules will be made available at the screening venues from 24th October 2018 onwards in addition to badges, catalogues and bags.


Q. Can someone else collect my festival badge on my behalf?
A. No. Each delegate needs to personally collect the festival badge. Only after showing a valid identity card (Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter Identity card or Driver`s License) will the badge be given to you.


Q. What do I need to carry when I go to pick up my festival badge?
A. Please present the following at the registration desk to collect your festival badge.

  1. The electronically generated confirmation email/SMS.
  2. Valid photo identity card (Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter Identity Card or Driver’s License).
  3. Please note that the festival badge will not be issued in your absence and in the absence of a valid photo identity card (Passport, PAN Card, Aadhaar Card, Voter Identity Card or Driver`s License).


Q. What can I do if I lose my festival badge?
A. Delegates who have lost their festival badge will have to re-register for a new festival badge for security reasons. Lost festival badges will not be replaced.


Q. Are the festival badges transferable? Can I use any other person’s festival badge?
A. The festival badges are non-transferable. Any misuse or sharing of festival badges is strictly prohibited and the management holds the right of admission for such delegates.


Q. Can I book seats for sessions that happen at the festival screening venues?
A. Yes. You can book seats for the sessions (masterclasses, in conversation with, reunions, roundtables) that happen at all the festival screening venues along with the film screenings.



Q. How do I attend a film screening/session?
A. There are two ways to attend a film screening/session:

  1. Book a seat: You need to book a seat for the film screening/session that you want to attend using your unique festival badge number.

The seat can be booked in the following ways

  • Online - through www.bookmyshow.com.
  • On ground - At the booking counters available at all festival screening venues mentioned below:

Please note that all seat bookings are subject to availability. You can book a maximum of four seats in a day for 4 different shows. In addition to booking a seat, you must be seated in the screening theatre at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening.

2. Rush line/walk-in line: You can arrive at the screening theatre and wait in the Rush Line/Stand By line. You will be given entry to the theatre subject to availability.


Q. What is a rush/walk-in line?
A rush/walk-in line is meant for the delegates who have not pre-booked their seats for screenings/sessions. The festival generally reserves a few seats for each screening/session for delegates with no prior bookings. Depending upon availability, the delegates in this line are given access to the screening/session.


Q. Do I need to book seats for each film screening/session separately?
A. Yes. You need to book seats for each film screening/session separately. Please note that all seat bookings are subject to availability. In addition to booking a seat, you must be seated in the theatre at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening.


Q. How many film screenings/sessions can I book in a day?
A. You can pre-book a maximum of 4 film screenings/sessions in a day. Please note that all seat bookings are subject to availability. .


Q. When can I start booking my seats for a film screening?

  1. Booking for each film screening will open a day prior to the screening day at 8 am. 
  2. For screening on 26th October 2018, bookings will open on 25th October 2018 and so on. 
  3. You can book online through www.bookmyshow.com or on-ground at the booking counters at all festival screening venues. 
  4. Some seats will be reserved for first come, first served walk-in delegates at the venue so you can try and avail that facility which is subject to availability.


Q. Can I change or cancel a booking?
A. You cannot change one booking into another. However, you can cancel a booking for a particular screening/session and then book another seat for a different screening/session that you might like to watch. All bookings need to be cancelled at least 1 hour prior to the start time of the screening. Please note that the new booking you make post cancelling an existing one will also be subject to the availability of seats.

Q. In case I am unable to book my seat for a screening/session due to unavailability, what can I do?
A. The festival usually takes this into consideration and tries to schedule multiple screenings of a film (The same does not apply to sessions). In case you are unable to book a particular film screening, you can do one of following:

  • Refer to your screening schedule to see an alternative screening date, day and time and book it in advance.
  • Check online for sudden availability due to cancellations.
  • Arrive at the screening auditoriums much before the screening to check if the rush line/ walk-in seats are available at the venue or if there have been any cancellations.

      

HALF TICKET (27th and 28th October 2018, Matterdan Carnival Cinemas (Deepak Talkies).

It is mandatory for the delegate (parent/guardian) accompanying the child to carry a valid photo id of the child and the delegate themselves. In case the delegate is a guardian, a letter of authority from the parent of the child, along with a photo id of the child, the parent of the child and the delegate needs to be carried at all times. Photo Ids will be checked at the time of entry into the venue. Entry can be denied at the discretion of the management if id proof is inadequate.

A. Half Ticket movie screenings will take place on 27th and 28th October 2018.


Q. Where are the Half Ticket screenings happening?
A. The Half Ticket screening venue is at Matterdan Carnival Cinemas (Deepak Talkies).


Q. How do I get access to Half Ticket screenings?

A. To get access to Half Ticket screenings, you will have to register yourself for the festival online at  www.mumbaifilmfestival.com or in.bookmyshow.com/mami anytime from 19th September 2018 to 28th October 2018. 


On-ground registration will open on 23rd and 24th October, 2018 between 09:30 am to 08:00 pm and from 25th October 2018 to 28th October 2018 from 08:00 am to 08:00 pm.


Q. How can children and young adults register for Half Ticket?

A. Children and young adults cannot register for Half Ticket without an adult (parent/ authorized guardian). It is mandatory for the adult (parent/ authorized guardian) registering the Children and Young Adults for Half Ticket to be a festival delegate (General Full Festival Pass Holder) with a valid MAMI festival badge. The children and young adults can be registered for:

1. Day Pass – 27th October, 2018 (Access to all age applicable Half Ticket movie screenings for the day)

2. Day Pass – 28th October, 2018 (Access to all age applicable Half Ticket movie screenings for the day)

3. Weekend Pass- 27th and 28th October 2018 (Access to all age applicable Half Ticket movie screenings for the weekend)


Q. What is the age group Half Ticket caters to?
A. Children and young adults from ages 5 to 17 years are eligible to watch Half Ticket screenings. Each film has an additional specific age advisory. Please refer to the festival schedule to see the age advisories mentioned before booking seats for screenings. All adult festival delegates are also eligible to watch Half Ticket screenings.


Q. Can children and young adults attend Half Ticket screenings on their own post registration?
A. Children and young adults cannot attend Half Ticket screenings/sessions unaccompanied by the adult (parent/guardian) that has registered them. It is mandatory for the delegate (parent/guardian) accompanying the child to carry valid photo id of the child and the delegate themselves. In case of the delegate is a guardian, a letter of authority from the parent of the child, along with photo id of the child, the parent of the child and the delegate needs to be carried at all times. Photo Ids will be checked at the time of entry into the venue. Entry can be denied at the discretion of the management if id proof is inadequate.


Q. How many children can I register/bring along with me for Half Ticket movie screenings?
A. One adult can register upto 2 children / young adults for Half Ticket.


Q. Do I need to pre book seats for myself and the children for the screening of Half Ticket movies?
A. Yes. It is advised that you pre-book your seats as well as the seats for your children for the screenings.


Q. Are the movies, age sensitive for children?
A. Yes. All our movies come with age advisories that are mentioned in the daily schedule. Therefore it is necessary that the parent/guardian reads the daily schedule prior to the booking of seats.


Q. If I am an adult and a festival delegate, can I watch Half Ticket movies?
A. Yes. All festival delegates can watch Half Ticket screenings. Please note that all seat bookings are subject to availability. In addition to booking a seat, you must be seated in the theatre, at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the screening.


Q. How many Half Ticket movie screenings will take place during the course of the festival?

A. 12 movie screenings will take place over 2 days during the festival.

  1. Delegate Registration for the Jio MAMI 20th Mumbai Film Festival with Star will open on 19th September 2018.
  2. Registration inquiries and applications will only be processed during the official registration period.
  3. For Press Delegates, the submission of an accreditation form does not guarantee accreditation. The festival reserves the right to accept or reject an application.
  4. By registering for the festival, the delegate has agreed to comply with the festival`s participation guidelines, code of conduct and security regulations.
  5. Any breach of participation guidelines, code of conduct and security regulations, will result in immediate cancellation of the festival registration.
  6. A delegate must be 18 years of age or above. Please carry your valid Age proof (Passport, Pan Card, Aadhar Card, Voter ID or Driver's Licence) at all times for verification.
  7. A festival badge will not be handed over in the absence of a valid photo identity proof (Passport, Pan Card, Aadhar Card, Voter ID or Driver's License).
  8. Each delegate will receive a personalized festival badge with a unique barcode. One delegate cannot use another delegate`s festival badge on any occasion. Such usage will result in cancellation of the registration. Any festival badge that is used by any person other than the registration holder will be confiscated.
  9. It is mandatory for the delegate to wear the festival badge at all times within a festival venue. Delegates not carrying the festival badge will be refused entry to the venue by security personnel.
  10.  In the event of losing the festival badge, the delegate will have to re-register for a new delegate card for security reasons. Lost festival badges will not be replaced.
  11. The festival badge allows access to public events and films screenings. The date, time and venues of these events will be available in a printed schedule in the festival bag. The schedule will also be announced through the festival website and festival`s official social media platforms. There can be changes to this schedule. These changes will reflect on the website everyday and also will be flashed across our social media platforms so please do watch out for such changes. Best efforts will be made to communicate any such changes to the delegates.
  12. Half Ticket Public Screenings: The age group to register for the Half Ticket section is 05-17 years. The festival reserves right to deny entry if a valid age proof is not produced at the venue. One screen for Half Ticket will be dedicated. The fee for each child is Rs 125 per day. A maximum of two children can be registered under one Festival Delegate pass.
  13. Opening Ceremony and Closing Ceremony of the festival are By Invitation Only.
  14. The festival badge will not give access to these events.
  15. The booking for film screenings will open on 25th October 2018, 08:00 am onwards for the films playing over the next one day. A delegate can choose to pre--book screenings for the following day, via online booking or at the festival venue booking counters.
  16. Delegates who have booked screenings online must arrive at the screening theatre, at least 15 minutes prior to the screenings they have booked. Any delegate arriving later than that will have to wait in the Stand-by line, irrespective of the screening booking status.
  17. The Festival movie schedule is subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. All schedule changes will be announced through the festivals website, official social media platforms and at the festival venues.
  18. Piracy is a legal offence. Any kind of audio or video recordings during the film screenings will be met with severe actions from the festival. If found guilty of any such activity, the responsible delegate`s recording device and festival badge will be confiscated. The delegate would not be allowed to attend any screening or event for the rest of the festival and would be black-listed for the future editions of the festival. Necessary government agencies will be roped in depending on the seriousness of the situation.
  19. The Festival Bag and Catalogue fee, will not be exchanged or refunded under any circumstance. 
  20. For security reasons, the organizers reserve the right to perform a security check on any member of audience at any point during the Event.
  21. Screenings could be cancelled/ rescheduled if discipline and guidelines are not met with any delegate.
  22. Organizers or any of its agents, officers, and employees shall not be responsible for any injury, damage, theft, losses or cost suffered at or as a result of the event of any part of it.
  23. Food and beverages will be available inside festival screening venues for sale. Any outside Food and Beverages are not allowed inside the festival.
  24. The Delegate agrees to receive communication regarding the Festival from both Bookmyshow.com and Mumbai Film Festival in the form of e-mail or/and SMS during the duration of the Festival.
