Mumbai Foodie and NIC Ice Cream presents: “Supper Clubs of India” - a series of intimate dining experiences highlighting regional community-style meals from across India!
Kashmiri Home Chef Jasleen Marwah is hosting the very first Supper Club dinner experience with an elaborate Kashmiri feast. Chef Jasleen has been sharing her stories about Kashmiri food, culture and heritage through her pop-up Namak and her regional food restaurant Folk in Kala Ghoda, Mumbai.
Experience the bounty of Kashmir’s valley right from hyper-local and indigenous produce like ‘Gucchi’ (Morel mushrooms), ‘Kadam’ or ‘Knol Kol’ (Kashmiri Collard Greens), and ‘Warimuth’ (Kashmiri Black Beans) to sun-dried vegetables like eggplant, bottle gourd and tomatoes which are dried to survive the harsh winters of Kashmir!
Focusing on the lost recipes that were once the center of family meals, Chef Jasleen Marwah hopes to bring back the vintage Kashmiri recipes that go beyond the usual Rogan Josh or Gushtaba.
Expect slow-cooked Kashmiri-style Lamb Ribs called ‘Tabakh Maaz’, ‘Nadur Monj’ or some crisp Lotus Stem fries, ‘Gaad’ or Freshwater Fish braised in sun-dried tomatoes and a lot more on this curated menu!
Plus, Chef Jasleen is collaborating with NIC Ice Creams to create a special Kashmiri ice cream flavor that will be served exclusively at the dinner!
ALL OF THIS + exclusively crafted cocktails by Hapusa Gin! Join us for a special Kashmiri Feast on Thursday, 24th October at Veranda, Bandra.
Limited seats available.
