Huttaridurga, located just a few hours from Bangalore, is a hidden gem known for its ancient hill fortpanoramic sunrise views, and adventure-friendly terrain. This short but scenic trek is perfect for beginners, photographers, and nature enthusiasts alike.

1. Is the Huttaridurga trek suitable for beginners

Yes, this is a beginner-friendly trek with a short trail and moderate ascent. Anyone with basic fitness can complete it comfortably.

2. What is the total trek distance and duration

The trek is around 2 to 3 kilometers one way. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours to reach the peak and 45 minutes to descend.

3. What time will we be back in Bangalore

We aim to reach Bangalore by 12.30 PM on Saturday, depending on traffic conditions.

4. What type of transport is provided

Non AC Tempo Travellers or Minibuses will be used for pickup and drop from various points in Bangalore.

5. Will there be washroom facilities

Basic washroom facilities are available at designated stops. However, facilities near the trek base may be limited.

6. Is food provided during the trip

Yes, breakfast will be provided after the trek at a local restaurant. You can carry snacks or energy bars for the trek.

7. What happens if it rains

The trek will continue in light to moderate rain. In case of extreme weather conditions, the event may be rescheduled or fully refunded.

8. Can I join the trek solo

Yes, solo travelers are always welcome. Many participants come alone and make new friends during the trip.

9. Are there any age restrictions

Recommended age is 3 years and above. Children should be accompanied by parents or guardians.

10. Is there a place to keep my luggage

It is best to carry only a small backpack with essentials. Avoid bringing heavy luggage or valuables.


Backpacking Trip/Trek – Terms & Conditions

By booking a backpacking trip/trek with Fitness Gone Wild, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.

 

1. Booking & Confirmation

Booking is confirmed only after full or partial payment (as specified) is received.

Seats are allotted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Any verbal or WhatsApp confirmation is not considered final without payment.


2. Payment Policy

Advance payment is mandatory to block your slot.

The balance amount, if any, must be paid before the trip/trek start date.

Failure to complete payment may result in automatic cancellation without refund.


3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellations must be informed in writing (WhatsApp/email).

Refund amount depends on the time of cancellation and vendor policies.

No refund for last-minute cancellations, no-shows, or early exits from the trip/trek.

Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 7–10 working days.


4. Changes in Itinerary

The itinerary is subject to change due to weather, road conditions, government restrictions, vehicle availability, or unforeseen circumstances.

The organizer reserves the right to modify, cancel, or reschedule any part of the trip/trek in the interest of safety.

No refund will be provided for skipped activities due to such changes.


4A. Reference Photos & Visuals

Photos or videos shared during the time of booking are for reference purposes only.

Actual accommodation, vehicles, or locations provided may differ slightly in appearance.

Similar or the same category of stay/vehicle will be provided based on availability.

No claims or refunds will be entertained based on difference between reference images and actual arrangements.


5. Accommodation & Transportation

This is a budget backpacking trip/trek, not a luxury tour. Basic and clean stays will be provided as per availability.

Luxury amenities are not promised; if available, they will be treated as a bonus, not an entitlement.

Accommodation will be provided on a sharing basis, with separate rooms/tents for girls and boys.

Couple sharing (room or tent) is subject to availability and must be clearly discussed and confirmed with our sales representative at the time of booking.

Rooms/tents will be allotted based on availability at the location.

Transportation used may include tempo traveller, bus, jeep, or other suitable vehicles as per terrain, group size, and operational requirements.


6. Fitness & Health Responsibility

Backpacking and trekking involve physical activity; participants must assess their own fitness levels.

Any pre-existing medical condition must be informed in advance.

The organizer is not responsible for health issues arising during the trip/trek.


7. Safety & Conduct

Participants must follow instructions given by the trek leader/coordinator at all times.

Indiscipline, intoxication, or behavior affecting group safety may lead to removal from the trip without refund.

Consumption of alcohol, drugs, or smoking in restricted areas is strictly prohibited.


8. Luggage & Personal Belongings

Participants are responsible for their own belongings.

The organizer is not liable for loss, theft, or damage of personal items.

Travel light; backpacking trips/treks have limited luggage space.

Large suitcases or excessive luggage may be denied loading due to space constraints.


9. Natural Conditions & Risks

Backpacking trips/treks involve exposure to natural elements like rain, heat, cold, insects, and uneven terrain.

By joining, participants accept the inherent risks involved in outdoor travel.


10. Photography & Media

The organizer may use trip/trek photos/videos for promotional purposes.

Participants consent to the use of their images unless informed otherwise in writing.


11. Force Majeure

The organizer is not liable for delays or cancellations due to natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, government orders, or any force majeure events.


12. Trip/Trek Discipline & Group Policy

The trip/trek leader’s decision is final during the trip/trek for the safety and smooth functioning of the group.

Participants must cooperate with group timings and plans; individual preferences cannot override group decisions.

Any request to change rooms, vehicles, itinerary, or services at the location will not be entertained.


13. Punctuality & Late Arrival

Participants are expected to report on time at the pickup point.

Late arrivals may miss activities or even the departure, and no refund or compensation will be provided in such cases.


14. Weather & Network Conditions

Many backpacking destinations are remote and may have limited or no mobile network.

Weather conditions may affect visibility, activities, or overall experience; this is beyond the organizer’s control.

No refunds will be issued for discomfort caused by weather or network issues.


15. Complaints & Expectations

This is a budget backpacking experience, not a luxury holiday.

Complaints based on luxury expectations, comparison with hotels/resorts, or personal preferences will not be considered.

Genuine issues related to safety or basic service may be addressed on the spot, subject to feasibility.


16. Responsibility & Liability

Participants travel at their own risk and responsibility.

The organizer shall not be held responsible for accidents, injuries, delays, loss of belongings, or acts of nature.

Participants are advised to take personal travel insurance.


17. Legal Jurisdiction

All disputes are subject to Bangalore jurisdiction only.


Cancellation Policy

✅ 7 Days before the event: 90% refund or 100% transfer to a future event.

✅ 4–6 Days before the event: 50% refund or 75% transfer to a future event.

🚫 Less than 3 Days before the event: No refund or transfer.

🚫 No-show: No refund or transfer.

🔁 In case of event cancellation by The Fitness Gone Wild due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, full amount will be refunded or can be shifted to another date/event.

Refunds are processed within 7 working days.
