About The Event
The Thar Desert which serves as the only hot desert and is located in the northwestern edge of India is home to multiple animal species such as the Blue Bull (Neelgai), The Indian Gazelles (Chinkaras) and a variety of birds.
In our effort to create a trip highlighting the unfiltered lifestyle of the villagers in the sparse and arid regions of the Thar, we would be sharing the space of HACRA Dhani - a rustic desert home stay spot in the Eastern edge of the Thar Desert. The stay here would be accommodated in desert huts (Jhumpa) in the backdrop of small sand dunes and thorny-scrubby desert vegetation so-called `Our LivingDesert!`

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival on a camel safari:
A camel safari will take you on a ride through the desert villages giving you unadulterated glimpses of life in the desert followed by catching a vivid Sunset over the barren landscape in the company of peacocks and Indian Gazelles. Then we reach the HACRA Dhani site and head towards some storytelling, light a bonfire and lull the desert`s magical silence under a sky full of stars.
Day 2: Exploration of the desert:
We wake up to the first light of the desert and hike and slide through soft sand dunes overlooking vast regions of the rustic Thar Desert spotting herds of Indian Gazelles, Blue Bulls and resting by a naturally formed lake adjacent to the holy shrine of the local hero Pabu Ji. Then, we trace our footprints back to the HACRA Dhani site and head towards the nearest temple town of Osian to bid a goodbye tag to our desert staycation.
