About The Event
On this tour we will visit the oldest Sarvajanik Ganesh Pandal of Mumbai and some of the famous Ganesh Pandals of Mumbai. Learn about their history and important information about them. On this tour we will cover the below five Pandals:
1) Fort Cha Icchapurti Ganesh- Award winning most beautiful Pandal with wish fulfilling Shree Ganesha. This year it is Somnath Temple Theme.
2) Keshavji Naik Chawl Ganapati, Girgaum- First Sarvajanik (public) Ganeshotsav celebrated in Mumbai. Now 133 years old
3) Mumbai Ka Raja in Ganeshgalli, Lalbaug- It is the oldest Nawasacha Ganpati (wish fulfilling) idol (1928). This year it is installed in Rameshwar Temple Theme.
4 a) G.S.B. Seva Mandal Ganapati * Kings Circle. (Aug 28th-30th) - Richest Ganesha Idol , insured for over 400 crores.
4 b) GSB Sarvajanik Ganeshotsava Samiti * Wadala (Aug 31st - 3rd Sep).- Another rich Ganesh Idol of the Gowd Saraswat Brahmin community.
5) Chinchpoklicha Chintamani-Intricate craftsmanship of the award winning idol showcasing the skills of Indian Artisans.
