About The Event
With Pune becoming the defacto capital of the Maratha Empire traders artisans craftsmen and businessmen started shifting to Pune. New peths began to be setup dedicated to particular trade by the Peshwa. One of the main market place was in Raviwar Peth setup in around 1730s.
We will be covering Sugandhi, Phadke Wada, Sonya Maruti, Melody Makers, Bhori Aali, Someshwar Temple, Lakshmi Narayan Temple, City Jama Masjid & Saifee Masjid.
Pune Heritage Walks (PHW) is a cultural community to promote our rich heritage, history, culture, architecture, food, arts & crafts. Its a flagship brand owned by Deccan Drifts. The walks are curated & organized by our Founder & Walk Leader Randhir Jaya Naidu.
