Chittor V. Nagaiah (Nagaiah) (Vuppaladadiyam Nagayya) was an Indian film actor, director, producer, music composer and a playback singer. Nagaiah was prominent in Telugu film industry, but was also seen working in Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi too. Nagaiah was the first South Indian actor to win the Padma Shri award from the government in 1965. Nagaiah was also the recipient of the National Award for the film Ramadasu, which was his directorial venture. Some of Nagaiah's famous films were Thyagayya, Tenali Ramakrishna and Sri Krishnarjuna Yudham.
