An Indian film director, M. Padmakumar is noted for his work in Malayalam cinema. Having started his career as an assistant director to several leading directors in the Malayalam film industry, Padmakumar made his directorial debut as an independent director with Ammakilllikkoodu (2003). His other notable directorial ventures include Vargam (2006), which was also his debut as a writer, Kerala Cafe (2009), Ithu Pathiramanal (2013), D Company (2013), Kanal (2015) and Aakashamittayee (2017), a Malayalam drama starring Jayaram Subramaniam and Iniya. His Other releases include Joseph and Mamangam.
