P.Unnikrishnan is a National Award-winning Indian playback singer. A trained classical musician, he made his debut in the A.R.Rahman musical Kadhalan (1994), for which he won the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer that year. Besides Rahman, Unnikrishnan has associated with music directors like Ilaiyaraaja, Vidhyasagar, Yuvan Shankar Raja and Mani Sharma in the course of his career, and notable among his discography are the films Iruvar (1997), Thulladha Manamum Thullum (1999), Sethu (1999), Dhill (2001), Kaadhal Kondein (2003) and Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam (2009). For his rendition of the song Un Samayal Araiyil from Dhill, he won the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2001.
