Richard E. Grant is a Swazi-English actor, director, screenwriter and perfumier who is best remembered for the role of Withnail in the 1979 film Withnail and I, and John Sweard in Bram Stoker`s Dracula (1992). Grant who started his career as a theater actor was part of the Space Theater Company in Cape Town before making his debut on the silver screen with Withnail and I in 1987. His other popular films include Pret-a-Porter (1994), Jack and Sarah (1995), The Match (1999), Gosford Park (2001), Bright Young Things (2003), The Garden of Eden (2008), Kath & Kimderella (2012) Jackie (2016), Logan (2017), Their Finest (2017), The Hitman`s Bodyguard (2017), The Nutcracker and the Four Realms (2018) and Can You Ever Forgive Me? (2019). Apart from acting in films, Grant has an elaborate career in the TV industry and in a career spanning over 30 years, he has acted in more than 40 series`.
