Recipient of the several Karnataka State Film Awards, V. Manohar is an Indian music director, lyricist, and film director who has penned lyrics for more than 1000 songs for Kannada movies. Also popular for his work in Tulu cinema, V. Manohar began his career with television. However, he rose to prominence after he recorded the title track for the TV show Danda Pindagalu. The song went on to become a huge hit.

In 1984, he wrote his first song as a lyricist - "Hodeya Doora Oh Jothegaara" for the movie Anubhava. The song later became one of the most popular Kannada songs of the industry. Manohar has composed music for more than 100 movies and has also received several Karnataka State Film Award for Best Music Director for the movies Chigurida Kanasu, Jodi Hakki, and Janumada Jodi. In 2014, he also won the Tulu Cinemotsava Award for Best Music Director for the movie Chaali Polilu. His other credits include Pattanaje (2017), Nemoda Boolya. (2017) and Mataash (2019). His 2020 release includes Matte Udbhava.
