Walter H. Tyler (Walter) was an American art director and production designer, born on March 28, 1909 in Los Angeles, California, United States. He is known for his works in Roman Holiday (1953), The Ten Commandments (1956) and Sabrina (1954).He won an Academy Award for the Best Art Direction in the film Samson and Delilah (1949) and was nominated for eight more in the same category. Walter is the grandfather of the film composer, Brian Tyler. He died on November 3, 1990 in Orange County, California.
