William H. Macy is an American actor, screenwriter and director. His debut film was Foolin` Around (1980). William starred in Without A Trace (1983), The Last Dragon (1985), Radio Days (1987) and Homicide (1991). He worked in successful films including Searching For Bobby Fischer (1993), Mr. Holland`s Opus (1995), Ghosts of Mississippi (1996) and Air Force One (1997). William garnered immense appreciation for his roles in Boogie Nights (1997), Magnolia (1999), Jurassic Park III (2001) and It`s A Very Merry Muppet Christmas Movie (2002). He appeared in Spartan (2004) and Bobby (2006) for which he received critical acclaim. William provided his voice for the character of Lester in The Tale of Despeareaux (2008).
