About The Event

1403 Panorama Towers, Andheri (2015–2019) — The Melting Pot for Mumbai’s Underground Musicians. A collective showcase of artists driven by improvisation, experimentation, and raw musical expression beyond the boundaries of genre and trend.

Between 2015 and 2019, 1403 Panorama Towers in Andheri became a vital creative hub for Mumbai’s underground music community — a space where musicians gathered to collaborate, experiment, and explore the limits of their artistic practice. Emerging from that shared ecosystem, 1403 brings together the artists who helped shape the sound and spirit of the space through a live showcase of original and unreleased music.

Led by Goa-born multi-instrumentalist and producer Jose Neil Gomes, the collective Stitch in Nine brings together collaborators including Nathan Thomas and Dhir Mody (Drum ani Bass), whose live project emerged from improvised jungle and drum & bass sessions at 1403; guitarist and composer Subid Khan, rooted in jazz, fusion, and experimental music; guitarist Siddharth Shankar, known for blending R&B-inspired riffs with forward-thinking jazz improvisation; and producer/DJ Yung.Raj, whose work spans dubstep, footwork, breaks, and jungle.

Also featuring other collaborators from the wider collective, the performance spans modern jazz, R&B, Afro-jazz, jungle, footwork, drum & bass, breaks, funk, soul, and live electronic music.

Rooted in improvisation and unconcerned with passing trends, the showcase reflects the raw, exploratory energy that defined 1403 as a meeting point for independent musicians and alternative sonic cultures. Moving fluidly between groove-driven electronics, jazz-influenced arrangements, and experimental live performance, the evening celebrates a community connected through spontaneity, collaboration, and original artistic expression.
