A Classical Odyssey, a ninety-minute concert by the Senior Chamber Orchestra of the Bangalore School of Music, features both professional players and non-career musicians in the age range of 13-65 performing for the very first time ever in Bangalore, Mozart`s Symphony 29 in its entirety, Gluck, Sibelius, Tchaikovsky, Handel, Halvorsen and Waldteufel, a sure departure from a traditional concert list with its standard expectations of greats such as Bach, Beethoven, or Brahms. Also, a rarity of sorts for Bangalore is the presence of an oboe in an ensemble in Bangalore, (as part of a Handel composition) as well as an unaccompanied piece for violin and viola.
So what are you waiting for? Join us on this journey of delightful, rarely-heard, great Classical melodies
Conducted by our Resident Conductor and highly-acclaimed musician and teacher, V. Narayanaswamy
