Funk Jazz is, like Jazz Dance itself, a fusion dance form. In fact, the term itself is contested amongst dance enthusiasts as it was a new form that emerged in the 80s and blended several forms that were popular at the time, including forms of hip hop and other dance. In our workshop, we infuse Funk Jazz as another form of Jazz Dance to give our students a well-rounded education in Jazz Dancing.
