About The Event
An evening of Music and Conversations by Abhinav, who’s a PhD in Hindustani Music and chose a path of bringing back the forgotten melodies, legends and the resistance of Indian Musicology through these curated shows.
Artist bio Abhinav Arora
Abhinav (he/she/they) is a Hindustani classical vocalist and a PhD in Indian Musicology from the Faculty of Music and Fine Arts, DU. Their musical journey and tutelage started at the age of 10. They started performing professionally at 14, travelling across India and abroad, gaining a vast experience with different cultures, languages and, of course, music. Abhinav is an eclectic artist who`s into soulful music, and the spectrum goes from classical, semi-classical, ghazal, Sufi etc., to old Hindi film songs. They have also worked extensively in Music Education with the disabled, underprivileged and individuals of all ages.
