A divine spectacle unfolds! Experience "Āgama Vipuna Mayuri: The Dance of the Goddess"; a majestic Bharatanatyam production by Vivritti Dance Company, led by Kavya Muralidaran.
An immersive celebration of the feminine divine, where myth, music, and movement unite in breathtaking harmony. This grand Bharatanatyam production captures the spirit of devotion and divinity through evocative choreography, music, and visual splendour.
From the sacred verses of Adi Shankaracharya to the cosmic union of Shiva and Parvati, Āgama Vipuna Mayuri weaves four celestial tales — Bhakti (Kamakshi), Shakti (Meenakshi), Mukti (Lalitha Devi), and the prologue at Kailash into one transcendent journey of rhythm, grace, and spiritual awakening.
With powerful dialogues of percussion, soaring operatic and Indian classical voices, and exquisite choreography, this is where the sacred meets the spectacular.

In the sacred kingdom of Madurai, King Malayadhwaja Pandiyan performs a powerful Putra Kamakshi Yagna, seeking divine blessings. From the celestial flames arises a radiant child, her beauty dazzling all who behold her.
Sri Kamakshi (Bhakti)
In a captivating interplay of cosmic love, Lord Shiva and Parvati perform a mesmerising dance duet. Amidst their celestial union, the goddess, in playful affection, twirls toward Shiva and gently covers his eyes. But this act of love plunges the universe into darkness, unleashing chaos and turmoil.
Sri Lalitha Devi (Mukti)
In a tale of cosmic balance, Manmatha readies his arrow to awaken Shiva from his penance. In a flash of fury, Shiva opens his third eye, reducing Manmatha to ashes. These ashes, imbued with celestial energy, are later gathered by the sculptor Chitra Karma, who molds them into a statue.
