
Just Being Center for Mindfulness & Presence, Pune presents a workshop on Awareness through Movement (ATM)- a journey of inner listening and becoming aware of the quality of our actions. Our life’s story, emotions, and ways of thinking become ingrained in our musculature and skeleton. As you become interested in living a conscious lifestyle, the body needs to be part of that journey. Muscles that have gotten used to being rigid in fear, for example, need to learn/discover new, more relaxed ways of serving you.

What will happen at the workshop?
ATM lessons are verbally guided, gentle movement explorations during which the facilitator continuously guides the participants’ awareness.
Often, this learning process has a slow and meditative quality. You become aware of a wide range of aspects: feeling the quality of stability & balance, mobility, smoothness of breath, distribution of effort, coordination, orientation in space.
You will be surprised that you yourself find more pleasant and graceful ways of moving. You can now choose those new ways, rather than following habits that do not serve you anymore.
With this new quality of your actions, you will spontaneously relate to yourself and the people around you with more clarity and authenticity.
What will you need for the workshop?
1. Kindly carry a floor mat, optimally wider and a bit softer than a yoga mat and a towel that can be folded under the head (Note: a cushion instead of a towel does not work as the head sinks into it too much and isn’t free to move).
2. Please wear comfortable clothing for movement
About the facilitator:
Amona has been a Certified Feldenkrais Practitioner (Awareness Through Movement) since 1998. She is also a Focusing Trainer, ARUN Conscious Touch practitioner, and trained in Systemic Constellations. She has been meditating for close to thirty years and for having a more intense practice she enjoys her stay in Pune this winter.
Born in Germany, Amona worked and lived in Chicago, US from 1999 to 2015. Then, for six years until 2021, she traveled worldwide and offered sessions and workshops in various cultural backgrounds. She now resides in Germany.
Amona is fascinated by and infinitely grateful for various kinds of self-exploration, through which she continues to unfold her spontaneous and creative being. She hopes to guide others to catch fire for a path toward living themselves authentically and joyfully.
