About The Event
Bansuri Utsav is an annual event dedicated to Indian Bansuri, this is the 12th edition. It is organized by Vivek Sonar, one of the renowned flutists of India. The USP of the event is Flute Symphony where more than 80 Flutists play in unison with various instruments and the Hariprasad Chaurasia Puraskar the award is given to the Artist who has contributed immensely to the field of Art and Music in India.
This year the schedule is as per the following:
Flute Symphony of 100 Artists - Symphony will be led by Vivek Sonar with 80 Flutists and Pandit Milind Raikar will be with a group of Violinist, accompanied by Ustad Fazal Qureshi (Tabla) & Atul Raninga (Keyboard)
Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia Award to Pandit Jasraj
Flute Duet by Pandit Rakesh Chaurasia (Hindustani flute) & Shashank Subramanium (Carnatic Flute) accompanied by Jayachandra Rao (mridangam) and Satyajit Talwalkar (tabla)
Masterstroke Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia (Flute) with Pt. Ramkumar Mishra (Tabla) and Pt. Vivek Sonar
