About the Masterclass:
A great production is not created on stage alone. It begins with an idea — and then comes the enormous task of turning that idea into an experience for an audience.
In this masterclass, Raëll Padamsee takes participants behind the curtain to understand the world of theatre production.
From putting together the right creative team and planning rehearsals to managing budgets, venues, schedules, artists, technical requirements and audiences, the session will explore the many moving parts that come together before opening night.
It is an opportunity to understand theatre from the producer’s chair — where creativity meets planning, problem-solving, people management and execution.
Ideal for young producers, directors, theatre managers, students and anyone interested in understanding how a production actually comes alive.
