About The Event
It`s International Day of the Book on 23rd April, a day to celebrate stories and reading. It is also the first birthday of Readings in the Shed. Launched in 2018, this initiative has been on a literary journey around the world for the last twelve months. For Chapter X, it brings birthday stories. Balloons, streamers, cake, and gifts are a constant in birthdays but the reactions they elicit are myriad...from joy and cheer to dread and `oh no, when did I get this old!` The selection of stories read on this occasion will touch upon all these different emotions. The readings will be performed by Asif Ali Beg and Yuki Ellias.
