About The Event
Using stories from our every day lives that we don`t have the time to stop and think about, the piece is an attempt to reflect on the mundane, which could actually teach us about `being human`. Ordinary thoughts that make extraordinary changes for our being. The name is in reference to the old Zen saying `May we exist in muddy water with purity, like a lotus`. We urban lot is existing alright, but are marred by the toxins of modern decadence, like the Black Lotus. The story is about us. The production will also see the artist playing a variety of instruments like Kalimba, Jembe, Flute & Ukelele for each other as they dance and act.
