An NCPA and Paranjoti Academy Chorus presentation
Paranjoti Academy Chorus is one of India’s oldest and most distinguished choirs, established by Victor Paranjoti in 1960. It has performed extensively in India and overseas, across multiple genres and languages, from 16th century music to modern works, both sacred and secular. A non-denominational choir, its forte is its unique performances of Indian music set in Western choral form. Conductor Emerita and Padma Shri Awardee, Mrs. Coomi Nariman Wadia, has conducted the Choir for over five decades.
Renowned British conductor, Gregory Rose, will lead the Choir and an international line-up of soloists along with guest choristers from Chennai, Pune and Colombo in a programme of celebrated masterworks, including Bach's Magnificat, Mozart's Coronation Mass, Handel's Zadok the Priest, and some unique Indian pieces.
The concert marks an expression of profound gratitude to Coomi Wadia by the members of the choir, acknowledging her lifelong contribution to choral music.
