Chaitra is a month that follows Phagun and the special songs sung in this season in north India are known as Chaiti. They depict the feelings of shringar and separation and cover a wide range of topics from nature to nanadiya. Snehal Muzoomdar has compiled some of the rarely heard chaitis and will be rendered by Smt. Shampa Pakrashi and Smt. Sraboni Chaudhuri.
Enjoy an evening of melodious semi-classical music from the North Indian culture at the Nehru Centre, Worli.
