About The Event
This holiday season, Kochi gets a comedy celebration like no other. “Chirivalsaraashamsakal” is a special double-bill stand-up comedy night bringing together two of the strongest voices in Malayalam stand-up comedy today — John Joe and Mahadevan A R — live on one stage.
The evening features “Snake & Ladder”, the acclaimed Malayalam stand-up comedy special by John Joe, followed by “MAHAHADEVAN LIVE!”, the high-energy Malayalam crowd-work show by Mahadevan A R.
John Joe is known for his sharp storytelling, relatable life observations, and effortless stage presence. Rising to popularity through Malayalam comedy television and live circuits, he is widely regarded as one of the most influential comics to emerge from the current stand-up wave in Kerala. Snake & Ladder takes audiences through the highs and lows of life with honesty, humour, and brilliantly timed punchlines.
Mahadevan A R is celebrated for his mastery over crowd work — a format where comedy is created live by interacting with the audience. With lightning-fast wit and spontaneous improvisation, MAHAHADEVAN LIVE! turns every show into a one-of-a-kind experience, making the audience an integral part of the performance.
Both comedians are core members of WIT, Kerala’s leading stand-up comedy collective, known for producing top-quality live shows, digital content, and comedy formats that have redefined Malayalam stand-up entertainment.
Set in the heart of Kochi, this show is designed to be the perfect year-end plan — whether you’re stepping out with friends, family, or looking for a fun holiday night out. Expect big laughs, local flavour, sharp humour, and a festive atmosphere to end the year on a high note.
PLEASE NOTE: The event is happening in the Banquet Hall on 5th Floor of Oberon Mall
