About The Event
Every year the NCPA organises the Contemporary Dance Season with a view towards showcasing performances that combine innovation and cutting-edge choreography from some of the most prominent dancers of this genre from India and abroad. This year, too, look out for the most sought-after artistes for the finest contemporary performances at the NCPA's Contemporary Dance Season, 2016.
Established in 1992, Attakkalari Centre for Movement Arts facilitates the development of contemporary cultural expressions and is the only umbrella organisation of its kind in India. AadhaaraChakra A Dancelogue is a hybrid performance event, weaving in multiple disciplines movement, film, light, plastic arts and multimedia. The production brings alive the essence of domestic life in a traditional Chettinad house, the sacred rituals in a Shiva temple, and the flavours and fragrances of a spice market.
