About The Event
On Sunday, 14th December, Fusion Vaari will play some Indian Bhajans and Abhangas fusion followed by The Uday Ramdas Collective with their world fusion music and cosmic rhythms! Uday Ramdas has performed over 2000 shows worldwide and formed this outfit "The Uday Ramdas Collective" over a year back. He has met musician`s from over 22 countries and learnt from them. Through this learning he has infused elements of African, Jazz, South American and Persian music with Indian Classical music to give a unique sonic experience that will mesmerize you!
Uday Ramdas is a multi-talented musician who is skilled in singing, percussion, tabla playing, music composition, and direction. Uday has been a disciple of the renowned tabla maestro, Ustad Allah Rakha, who is also the father of Ustad Zakir Hussain. He has also received training from several teachers, including Pt. Vibhav Nageshkar and Pt. Yogesh Samsi for over 20 years.
Uday has performed in India and at various international music festivals held in countries such as Canada, France, the Czech Republic, Germany, Iran, Tajikistan, and UAE. He has also worked as a music composer for Indian and foreign productions since 1995. Uday has composed music for 4 Hindi feature films, 6 TV serials, and AD films. He has also composed 20 music albums, including 6 international albums.
As a music director, Uday has directed many famous singers, such as Shankar Mahadevan, Anuradha Paudwal, Shaan, Sadhana Sargam, Mahalaxmi Iyer, Rahul Deshpande, and many other stalwarts of the rich Indian classical music artistry. He has also recorded and performed with several renowned international artists, including Jan Kyncl, Kenny Aronoff, Edgar Mayer, Peppino D`Agostino, Papa Jeh, Shahram Nazeri, and more.
Uday has won 2 international awards in the USA and Spain. He has also worked with India`s popular channel Zee TV for several years, performing and contributing to their productions.
